The Canon is not a database. It’s the short list of fragrances I believe are worth your attention and money — chosen slowly, one by one, with a reason attached to each. I fell into perfume through Luca Turin’s Guides, hunting down every four- and five-star bottle I could find; this is my attempt to be that useful to someone else. Some entries are new, some are disappearing, all of them matter. The Canon grows carefully — and it’s meant to be argued with.
