Is Amber Empire by Atkinsons discontinued? Not confirmed — we are investigating a possible discontinuation. Latest evidence, Oct 24, 2026: By 20 October 2026 Atkinsons had taken Amber Empire out of its shop's collections and search, and on 24 October the page it can still be reached on showed the 100 ml eau de toilette, €170, sold out, while Ambre Royal could still be ordered there. The house has said nothing about the scent.
Amber Empire is Atkinsons' 2015 revival of a 1927 oriental, brought back from the house archive for its Legendary Collection; the original, the story goes, was sparked by an art deco Chinese snuffbox. Maurice Roucel rebuilt it around tea and resin: bergamot opening onto oolong tea and Chinese magnolia, then a soft amber of myrrh, vanilla and white musk. The house calls it a sensuous journey to the Far East; an eau de toilette, in 100 ml.
