Chiris is James Heeley's tribute to the Grasse house Antoine Chiris founded in 1768, which became the world's largest producer of natural perfume materials and whose name Heeley now holds. He built it on iris pallida, which Chiris grew in Tuscany and which hides in the name itself. Osmanthus and citrus open on a peach-velvet fruitiness; the iris turns woody over cedar and incense, then iris absolute sinks into a leather of vetiver, sandalwood and amber. An extrait de parfum.
