Dahab takes its name from the Arabic word for gold, the metal ancient civilisations tied to the sun, and it is the Kajal Perfumes Paris fragrance the house went back to for Dahab Absolu. Christian Carbonnel and Rosendo Mateu composed it as an eau de parfum. It opens on crisp Granny Smith apple and bergamot, turns lush in a heart of passion fruit sharpened by coriander and cedar, and settles into patchouli, musk and amber. Its cap is the house's eight-pointed star, engraved in Arabic calligraphy with eight names for forms of gold.
