Khayali's desert turned bright. The Emirati house built Wild Cactus on a contrast it hears in an arid landscape — still, sun-shaped, and then suddenly producing something juicy and alive — and calls the result the lighter side of its own world. Grapefruit, orange, maracuja and prickly pear open it; muguet, jasmine and iris soften a middle warmed by saffron and nutmeg; moss, amber and musk close it. The house files it as citrus spicy.
