Chergui

Eau de Parfum by Serge Lutens
Nose: Christopher Sheldrake

Notes

Named for the dry east wind off the Sahara, and built on honeyed tobacco leaf rather than smoke: hay and iris keep it from turning syrupy, incense and sandalwood give it the dusk. One of the fragrances that taught a generation what tobacco could smell like outside a fougère.
