Purple Rice is an eau de parfum by Anh Ngo for Under One Roof, the Vietnamese house Toouch's five-scent collection about the smells and quiet habits that make a place home. It opens on taro and sticky rice, warm and creamy but never quite dessert, before orris and violet lay a powdery film over the skin with a dry thread of oolong tea. Coconut milk, vanilla and soft woods close it, poised, as the house puts it, between rustic and luxurious.
