Bruno Jovanovic's amber-woody for the Editions de Parfums, built on a sandalwood pushed until its creaminess turns buttery. Saffron, cinnamon and nutmeg carry a speculoos accord across the top, vanilla and jasmine hold the middle, and styrax, leather and patchouli close it. Malle publishes it as a love letter to modern romanticism: warmth crossed with something cold and nostalgic, a bittersweet hug.

VAVAVOOM in Brno had all three sizes on 2 September for collection within a day, at 9,180 Kč for the 100 ml. Its ten-note pyramid — saffron, speculoos, nutmeg and cinnamon, then vanilla and jasmine, over sandalwood, patchouli, leather and styrax — fills in what the house's three-line listing leaves out; Fragrantica runs the same set and adds Peru balsam to the base.

Malle's European site sells it outright — €350 for 100 ml, €250 for 50 ml, €75 for the 10 ml travel spray — and prints only three notes: a spicy accord over sandalwood and vanilla. Jovanovic's own account on the page is all about the wood, whose milky facets he amplified, he says, until it turns "buttery, velvety, almost indulgent".

Now Smell This carried the announcement on 5 August, a month before the bottles: an amber-woody in 50 and 100 ml with sandalwood at its centre. It read the materials against Dries Van Noten par Frédéric Malle, discontinued and close enough in profile that the piece wondered aloud whether this is that fragrance coming back.
