Oud Velvet Mood Extrait de Parfum

Extrait de Parfum by Maison Francis Kurkdjian
Nose: Francis Kurkdjian
Released
Notes
peachsuedeoud

Peach, suede and oud โ€” the three notes the house names, and effectively the whole composition: a fruity, textile-soft reading of a material Francis Kurkdjian usually treats as rough and animal. The name returns from the Oud Mood collection, where a very different Oud Velvet Mood โ€” oud with saffron, Ceylon cinnamon and copahu balm โ€” appeared in 2013.

Filed as a 2026 extrait on suede, peach and oud, and kept apart from the 2013 fragrance of the same name โ€” that one is built on agarwood, copahu balm, saffron and Ceylon cinnamon, so the two share a name and very little else.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian dates the general launch to 1 September 2026, at its authorised retailers and on its own site. Francis Kurkdjian calls it "a fairly simple composition in a very contemporary style", where velvety peach smooths the rough side of a material he describes as historically complex and almost animal in its sensuality.
