Figo Liminale is one of a pair of Liminale perfumes from Maqueda, the independent Palermo house whose founder treats perfume as ritual and works with the decomposition of matter, and its tribute to a dusty fig in the dry heat of high summer. Fresh herbs and iodized salt open it, the salt chosen to pull the moisture out of the composition, before dried fig and dried herbs settle at the heart. Arabica coffee absolute and roots leave it powdery and parched, a fig the house describes as isomerized by heat.
