Russian Tea is Act I, Scene III of Masque Milano's Opera collection, composed by Julien Rasquinet, whom founders Alessandro Brun and Riccardo Tedeschi sought out as a master of smoky notes. The brief was a tea ritual in a bookstore café above a snow-covered Nevsky Prospekt in Saint Petersburg: cold mint and black pepper over raspberry preserve, then heavy black tea with magnolia and immortelle, drying into birch smoke, leather and labdanum. An eau de parfum.
