A Date With Oud is Nishane's first special edition for the Al Tayer Group, an extrait at 35% written as a tribute to the house's Gulf patrons and to Khaleeji hospitality. Catherine Jarno of IFF sets the buttery sweetness of an Ajwa date accord, lit by grapefruit and the chill of black pepper, against frankincense with a mineral clarity and the dry touch of leatherwood, before smoky, animalic oud settles over the almond warmth of tonka.
