Lothair is the eau de toilette Bertrand Duchaufour composed for Penhaligon's Trade Routes collection in 2014, named after one of the last tea clippers to bring cargo into the London docks. The house built the line around the goods traded through Victorian London, and Lothair carries tea and spice: juniper, cardamom and grapefruit over green fig leaf, a heart of black tea softened by fig milk and lavender, then ambergris, cedar and wenge for the varnished decks.
