A citrus built like a garden rather than a cologne: lime and lemon over a thread of frankincense, then grapefruit, cedro and artemisia cooled by mint, with jasmine and sandalwood holding it down. Named for the limonaia, the glasshouse in which Tuscan palazzi have wintered their citrus trees since the Renaissance — cedro is the old Italian citron grown in them, prized for its thick, aromatic peel. Roberto Ugolini is a Florentine bespoke shoemaker; the fragrance line runs under the artistic direction of Herbert Stricker, and Cristian Calabrò composed this one.
