Poisonous Roots

Extrait de Parfum by Sorce
Released
Notes
jasmineincensemilky teavanillablack amber

Sorce's extrait for the lore of the female poisoner — Catherine de' Medici, Cleopatra, Lucrezia Borgia, Wu Zetian — and the fear of women's botanical knowledge that has followed powerful women for centuries. Jasmine absolute opens in a hypnotic bloom over incense, milky tea, vanilla absolute and black amber: a tincture in a tea, a garden that can heal or harm. From the Charlotte, North Carolina apothecary house, sold from 2 ml to 100 ml and in oil-based rollerballs.

Sorce released the trio on its own shop at 11:00 Eastern on 14 September 2026: Poisonous Roots at US$76 for 30 ml, US$105 for 50 ml and US$175 for 100 ml, every size in stock, with a note that anything selling out in the initial release restocks the same week. The house writes it around the lore of women poisoners — nightshade on a trellis, a tincture in a tea — and lists jasmine absolute, incense, milky tea, vanilla absolute and black amber. No perfumer is named for this one.
