Escapade Gourmande is the extrait Maison Mataha was founded on, the first of its Collection Mémoire Gourmande. In 2021 its founding couple, collectors who could not find the intense vanilla they were after, took the memory of a crème brûlée to perfumer Vincent Ricord. He turned the dessert into a darker vanilla with a burnt edge: a black sugar accord cracks open the top, vanilla and tonka absolutes warm the heart, and Siam benzoin leaves a velvety veil. Dosed at 35%, it was later deepened into Escapade Gourmande Grand Cru.

Maison Mataha sells it on its own shop at €190 for 100 ml, a single size, with free worldwide shipping. The house calls it its founding creation, imagined by the founding couple in 2021 and composed by Vincent Ricord, and gives the pyramid as a black sugar accord over vanilla absolute and tonka bean absolute, on Siam benzoin and a musk accord, at 35%. Since 14 October 2026 it has sat beside Escapade Gourmande Grand Cru, which the house presents as a reinterpretation of this bottle.

Osswald on Zürich's Bahnhofstrasse added the 100 ml Extrait de Parfum on 15 April 2025 at CHF 190, selling it as a crème brûlée from childhood: black sugar on top, vanilla and tonka bean at the heart, musk in the base.

Ministry of Scent in Palm Springs has sold it since 27 September 2024: the 100 ml extrait de parfum at $215 and a 2 ml spray sample at $7, listed as a 35% concentration built to be as gourmand as possible, on black sugar, vanilla, tonka bean and musk.
