Quick answer

Is Lalibela by Memo Paris discontinued? Not confirmed — we are investigating a possible discontinuation. Latest evidence, Aug 24, 2026: Memo Paris has taken Lalibela off its own store. The product page no longer loads at all — it redirects to the perfumes collection — and nothing under the name is left in the house catalogue: not the eau de parfum, not Lalibela Oud, not the candle, the hair perfume or the body line that used to sit beside it. Irish Leather, African Leather and Winter Palace still open on their own pages, so what happened here is specific to Lalibela and not a change of address for the whole shop. The house has said nothing about why.

Memo Paris opened in Paris in 2007 with perfume framed as travel notes, and Lalibela comes from that first year — Aliénor Massenet's chypre floral for the Ethiopian highland town whose twelve churches were cut downward into the rock. Jasmine, freesia and green notes open it; rose, ylang-ylang, heliotrope and orange flower carry the middle; patchouli, vanilla and musk hold the base. The house calls it a mystical rose and names rose, patchouli and incense as the three that do the work.

Boutiques still have bottles, and the channel is draining rather than dry. Luckyscent sells the 75 ml at $340 with the product's own cart form open — a control bottle from the same house behaves identically, so the reading is real — and Escentica and Niche Gallery list it in stock as well. Three others have gone out: Alla Violetta, Aus Liebe zum Duft on 20 August and Escentials on 24 August.

Two pyramids are in circulation for this one. Memo's site, up until the page came down, gave jasmine, freesia and green notes over rose, ylang-ylang, heliotrope and orange flower, resting on patchouli, vanilla and musk; Fragrantica lists it the same way and files it as a chypre floral. An older version of the house page — still copied by several retailers — put coconut orchid, rockrose, tobacco and labdanum in there instead. This entry follows the newer reading. What did not change across either version are the three notes Memo itself always led with: rose, patchouli and incense. Fragrantica's readers run the other way at the top: jasmine is the one note they put clearly ahead of the rest, with everything below it bunched together, so it takes a chip beside the house's three.

Memo was still selling it directly in March 2026: the page carried the 75 ml at 255 €, the notes, 72 customer reviews and a live add-to-cart. That puts the removal somewhere between 10 March and 24 August 2026.
