Carob Chanterelle turns a mushroom into dessert: one half of Chanterelle, the two-part collaboration between Perfume Room podcaster Emma Vernon and Scents of Wood, composed by IFF perfumer Meabh McCurtin with founder Fabrice Croise after the wild chanterelles that grew outside Vernon's childhood home. Sesame, seaweed and bran open it salted and malty; carob and the chanterelle turn it bitter and earthy, settling on rum, cocoa shell, Peru balsam and benzoin. Eau de parfum.
