Orris Chanterelle is one of a pair of Scents of Wood fragrances made with Emma Vernon, host of the Perfume Room podcast, alongside Carob Chanterelle. Vernon spent some two and a half years on it with founder Fabrice Croise and IFF perfumer Meabh McCurtin, working from the wild chanterelles that come up each July outside her childhood home. Strawberry guimauve and cinnamon bark open it soft and sweet; a chanterelle accord meets Moroccan orris and rose, over oakmoss, wet stone and ambrette seed.
