Less Than Zero is an eau fraîche from 19-69, a follow-up to the American Psycho scent Johan Bergelin made with Bret Easton Ellis, and named for Ellis's 1985 novel of Los Angeles's Brat Pack. Bergelin set it behind the gates of the young, rich and untouchable: cream suits, Wayfarers, an endless afternoon by a Bel Air pool, a fast drive down Sunset. Orris butter, rosewood and musk carry it, with lily of the valley, magnolia and patchouli, for a finish the house likens to crystal glass.
