Enji is one of two fragrances ONE DAY, the Hong Kong house of perfumer Michael Wong, drew from a single musk palette, and takes its name from the Japanese crimson pigment. The house writes it as pigment left to settle and then pressed onto warm skin like seal paste: dense, contained, smeared. Red bean paste, pink pepper and roasted chestnuts open onto aldehydes, orris butter and a soft leather, and sink into musks, vetiver and sandalwood.
