Decision is the eau de parfum that closes Amouage's Odyssey Collection, one of two scents in its fourth and final chapter, Eternity, alongside Existence. Creative director Renaud Salmon took it from a climb of Jebel Shams, Oman's highest mountain, where junipers split and scarred by lightning keep on growing; Givaudan's Quentin Bisch composed it. It strikes first with pink pepper and bergamot, settles into a resinous heart of Omani frankincense, myrrh and juniper berry, and dries down on Atlas cedarwood and a warm vanilla.

Amouage sells Decision on its own shop as a 100 ml eau de parfum at $395, stating a 33% oil concentration aged five weeks: three of maceration, two of maturation. Decision 42, the 2026 extrait, is a separate listing at $550.

Talking to Tatler Asia, Renaud Salmon traced Decision to his climb of Jebel Shams, where junipers above 2,500 metres survive lightning strikes that split their trunks — the name is about deciding to keep growing. He named frankincense harvested in Oman as the thread through the whole composition, with a juniper berry oil that brings a hint of gin and tonic.

Amouage announced Decision and Existence as Eternity, the fourth and final chapter of the Odyssey Collection begun in 2020, both composed by Givaudan perfumer Quentin Bisch. Decision went on sale at amouage.com on 12 March 2025, in Amouage boutiques from 1 April and through global distributors from 1 May.
