Amouage's Exceptional Extraits reading of Overture Woman at 41% perfume oil, with Annick Ménardo returning to her own composition. Saffron, calvados and centifolia rose are expanded, patchouli and leather intensified, and a sweet resinous amber accord the eau de parfum never had is laid underneath; Sandalwood Drèches Absolute, redistilled from spent sandalwood chips, anchors the most tempestuous parts. Six weeks of ageing — four of maturation, then two of maceration. The flacon is a deep amber, boxed in artwork by the Belgian artist Louise Mertens.
