Craft is one of the three scents with which the Icelandic artist Andrea Maack turned to perfume in 2010, made for a gallery exhibition and never meant to be worn. The house sets it at six on a winter morning, with nothing to hear but a car engine warming up: sharp aldehydes and a cold metal accord over ice, thawing into a woody heart of cedar with resinous elemi and earthy patchouli beneath. The eau de parfum comes in the house's black 50 ml flacon.

Saison, the house's Australian and New Zealand stockist, still sells the 50 ml at A$319, but most other shelves are bare: Fragrance Vault has only the 2 ml sample left, So Avant Garde is out of both sizes, Aus Liebe zum Duft sold its last 50 ml around 6 November, and Luckyscent, out since late August, has stopped listing it.

Now Smell This reported the launch in August 2010: Craft, Smart and Sharp, three unisex eaux de parfum the artist had been using in her installations for about two years, developed with the French perfumery APF and sold as 50 ml bottles at €65 at Spark Design Space in Iceland.
