Is Contre Bombarde 32 by Filippo Sorcinelli discontinued? Not confirmed — we are investigating a possible discontinuation. Latest evidence, Nov 5, 2026: Contre Bombarde 32 was on the house's Extrait de Musique page at €165 for 50 ml, and could be bought, on 12 August 2025. The same page now sells seven numbered scents at €200 for 100 ml, published on 3 June 2026, and the house's shop no longer offers this one.
Contre Bombarde 32 is named for a 32-foot pedal reed, the floor of the Grand Orgue at Notre-Dame, a note felt through the stone more than heard. Filippo Sorcinelli wrote this extrait for his Extrait de Musique line from inside the case, where the house says pipes that size soak up layers of dust, incense and wax. Vanilla and amber are the low, sustained drone, cedar and sandalwood the old timber around it, and juniper and elemi the resin hanging in the air above.
