Modern Tropic is a Private Blend Eau de Parfum built on a banana accord made for Tom Ford alone. The house's picture is a hideaway of glass and steel deep in an exotic landscape, modern architecture set against the tropics. It opens green and spiced, banana leaf over a golden vetiver tri-distillate of turmeric leaf, vetiver and vanilla bean, then the banana arrives dewy and faintly leathered, warmed by vanilla and frankincense resin. Patchouli and musk take it down to an earthy, skin-close finish.

Fashion Press lists Modern Tropic Eau de Parfum as Tom Ford Beauty's spring 2027 fragrance, on sale across Japan from 8 January 2027: 50 ml at ¥41,250 and 30 ml at ¥29,150 including tax, plus a 10 ml at ¥16,170 only through the official online store, @cosme STORE and some shops.
