Pirates' Grand Reserve raises a glass to Sir Francis Drake, the Elizabethan gentleman pirate who sailed round the world under the queen's flag; Atkinsons added it to its Contemporary Collection in 2017. Aged rum leads, softened by heliotrope and jasmine, before cocoa bean, geranium and cedar darken the heart and Madagascar vanilla, patchouli and a musky helvetolide close it. The house calls it a gourmand floral, warm and intoxicating; an eau de parfum, in 100 ml.

ParfuMaria in the Netherlands has marked the 100 ml eau de parfum down from €200 to €120 and still has a bottle to send within a working day, a cut it has not made on the Atkinsons lines that continue. Osswald in Zurich has it sold out.

Now Smell This announced Pirates' Grand Reserve on 20 July 2017 as a new gourmand for Atkinsons' Contemporary Collection: chocolate and aged rum over heliotrope, jasmine, cedar, patchouli, helvetolide and vanilla, a tribute to Sir Francis Drake, in 100 ml eau de parfum.
