Þe Wode Hath Teth is the forest of Heretic's Werwulf trio with Focus Features, its name Middle English for "the wood has teeth": the wild beyond the village in Robert Eggers' 13th-century film. Douglas Little was after the forest before the fairytale, a sharp char rather than a comforting campfire. Cold mineral air and pine break into cypress, black pepper and carrot seed, then settle into frozen vetiver, musk and patchouli.

Þe Wode Hath Teth is on pre-order at HereticParfum.com, 30 ml for $125, and the shop expects to send it out on 6 November 2026. Its listed pyramid reads Mineral Spark, Frosten Ayre and Pyne Terpenes; Snapt Cypres, Blak Peper, Osmanthus and Carrot Seed; Frozen Vetiver, Primal Musk and Patchouli, while the story copy tells it through smoke, juniper, gurjun, oakwood, fir resin and mushroom.

Douglas Little told Forbes's Celia Shatzman he wanted "the story of the forest before the fairytale", with a sharp char in place of a cosy campfire: ash, smoke and juniper berry over pepper, carrot seed and gurjun blossom, fir balsam at its centre. He researched medieval werewolf lore and the meeting of pagan and Christian folklore for the collection, which is tied to Eggers' film opening on 25 December.
