Werwulf

Werwulf is the wolf itself in the trio Heretic made with Focus Features for Robert Eggers' medieval film, the house's second film scent after Nosferatu, and the one Douglas Little spent longest on. He began from costus root's wet-dog smell and wanted it cyclical, a beast that wakes with each full moon. Bitter grapefruit and a rose worn as flesh turn through orris and violet leaf to labdanum, vetiver, benzoin and fur. The bottle reads Eau de Macabre.
