Thornapple is Heretic's plant-based eau de parfum after datura, the moonlit trumpet flower named for its spiny fruit, which founder and perfumer Douglas Little calls the greatest rebel among poisonous plants. It holds none of the plant, only its myth: green leaves, cardamom, saffron and an imagined apple give way to black tea, dark plum, labdanum and frankincense, then sink into oakmoss, vetiver, ambered woods and skin musk. A spiked black cap crowns the flacon.
