Imaginary Authors' scent for Wildwood, LAIKA's film of Colin Meloy and Carson Ellis's novels — the Impassable Wilderness is the forest just beyond Portland where people don't go, and where Prue McKeel follows the crows that took her baby brother. Grand fir, Scotch pine, resurrection fern, red cedar, oakmoss and petrichor, under an accord the house calls the ancient grove. Developed with the film's production designer Nelson Lowry; an eau de parfum, and for once not credited to one of the house's invented authors.

In stock in Imaginary Authors' own shop on 2 October 2026 at $115, billed as cowritten by Wildwood. The house says Nelson Lowry, LAIKA's production designer and a fan of niche perfume, helped develop it, and that Meloy and Ellis are close friends — Ashod once house-sat for them at the house that inspired the trilogy. It suggests wearing it to the film, in theatres from 23 October.
