Tom Ford has put three Private Blends on its Last Look shelf, "up to 50% off select products" on tomfordbeauty.com. By 2 November it had taken in Fougère d'Argent, Soleil de Feu and Bois Marocain, each 50 ml at $210 instead of $300. Fougère d'Argent, the 2018 fougère built on akigalawood where oakmoss used to be, is down to that one size there; Soleil de Feu, the fourth Soleil, an amber woody with sandalwood and tuberose from 2023, has already sold out of its 30 ml there. The house has announced nothing, and the badge alone proves little: Tuscan Leather and Café Rose sit on the same shelf, and Beau de Jour came back after an earlier last look. Osswald in Zurich delivers the 50 ml of Fougère d'Argent and Bois Marocain at CHF 284.70, and Alla Violetta in Naples ships Soleil de Feu in both sizes.
Santa Maria Novella is marking sixty years since the Arno flooded Florence with a limited eau de parfum of Angeli di Firenze, twenty years after the cologne. It goes on sale on 4 November, the day of the 1966 flood, in a selection of the house's own stores in Europe and the United States first. The house writes of a floral aquatic accord inspired by the river, with traces of paper and wood; the Italian press lists bergamot, lemon and hyacinth over vanilla, musk and cashmere wood, with a wet stone for the marble cleaned after the water went down. The box is art paper, raw canvas and wooden frames, the restorers' materials, and the house is paying for the restoration of Botticini's San Sebastiano, an Uffizi panel the flood damaged. It is €315 or $380 for 100 ml; the listing has been up on the house's shop since 29 October, but it cannot be ordered there.
