The first size has gone. A fortnight ago the eau fraîche came in three flacons, from 65 euros for the 30 ml; the small one is no longer on the product at all, leaving the 100 ml at 155 euros and the 250 ml at 270. Both of those still sell. It is the only one of the eleven to have lost a format so far, and the cheapest way into the group went with it.

One of eleven fragrances Nicolaï has gathered on a Dernière Chance page, each marked to leave the collection at the end of the summer. Eau d'Été is the cheapest of the group and the only eau fraîche in it: 65 euros for 30 ml, 155 for 100 ml and 270 for the 250 ml flacon, all still in stock.

Fragrantica dates it to 1997 and places it in the trilogy of eaux fraîches the house presented that year, built on Mexican lime, Florida grapefruit and sweet orange with jasmine and cinnamon behind them. Patricia de Nicolaï's own note skips the materials entirely and talks about the season instead — light on the skin, and an afternoon with time to spare.
