Gatsby Yeh's pineapple for Whisper of Melancholy, Scent Trunk's 2026 Original Edition, with Taiwan as its provenance and homesickness as its subject. Pineapple jam and butter cookie open it, oolong tea turns it bitter and roasted, and a flour accord, paper accord, sandalwood, guaiacwood and silk musk carry it out — a piece of pineapple cake and a cup of hot tea, in the perfumer's own telling.
