Terry Carter's yuzu for Whisper of Melancholy, Scent Trunk's 2026 Original Edition, with Japan as its provenance. A natural citrus accord of yuzu, lemon and bergamot is softened with jasmine, then bolstered by warm green notes, shiso and aged soft woods. Carter composed it around a snowy mountain onsen — a safe place to recover in, physically and mentally — and blended it listening to jazz kissa.

Scent Trunk's own shop has carried it since 25 June 2026 at 150 dollars for 50 ml and adds it to the cart. In place of a pyramid the house prints Carter's account of the build: yuzu as the primary material, a natural citrus accord of yuzu, lemon and bergamot, a molecular jasmine for the softness he wanted in emotional times, then warm green notes, vibrant shiso and aged soft woods.
