Carthusia's second Intenso by Meo Fusciuni, after Intenso di Sandalo — an oud built on light and shadow, sweetness and intensity. Saffron, cassis and chocolate open onto rose, spices and woods, settling on oud, tonka bean, vanilla and benzoin. The perfumer counts Sanmartino's marble Veiled Christ, Alberto Burri's material art and David Darling's Dark Wood among its references, and wanted to take the Capri house to the island's most remote, hardest-to-reach rock. The bottle reads simply NERO.

The house files it as leathery, gourmand and woody, with a pyramid of saffron, cassis and chocolate; rose, spices and woods; oud, tonka bean absolute, vanilla absolute and benzoin.

Aus Liebe zum Duft listed it on 2 October 2026 as Intenso Collection – Nero, taking pre-orders at €160 for 50 ml. Its page carries the perfumer's own note: Carthusia gave him full creative freedom a second time.

Eddie Bulliqi met it at Pitti Fragranze in Florence in September 2026, presented beside Intenso di Sandalo with Giuseppe Imprezzabile — Meo Fusciuni — credited for both, and wrote on 22 September that the Intenso collection marks a real shift in the brand's paradigm. Of the pair he found Nero the more conventional, its oud drawn softly, formally and fruitily next to Sandalo's experiment.
