Halo Sucré is Mayhap's answer to a future that has outlawed sugar: candy is banned for the harm it does, and the scent of sweets turns into contraband passed between dealers to feed the craving. It opens Forgotten Pleasures, the Paris house's second, sweeter collection, on a bubblegum accord with bergamot and almond, moves through jasmine, vanilla and a frosted orchid, and lets the fun settle into a musky, woody drydown of ambroxan and musk. An eau de parfum.
