Like This is Etat Libre d'Orange's collaboration with Tilda Swinton, who approached the house herself and drew its title from a Rumi poem. Composed by Mathilde Bijaoui, it goes after her Highland home and a Sunday by the fire, with ginger the note she insisted on. Mandarin and ginger open over a pumpkin accord; immortelle, neroli and rose follow, the immortelle caramelising towards burnt sugar, before vetiver, heliotrope and musk settle close to the skin. An eau de parfum.

Revisiting it fifteen years after launch, Tom at Perfume Posse puts the sweetness down to the immortelle, closer to menacing than to maple. Commenters there split between savoury spice with barely any sugar, raw pumpkin being carved, and an off-putting meatiness.

Angela at Now Smell This finds the pumpkin keeps the opening from reading too citrus or sweet. It then turns to burnt sugar as the immortelle rises, with musk and wood stopping it short of food. She calls it close to the skin, lasting four to five hours.

Launched on 13 March 2010 at the boutique of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Scented Salamander reports. Swinton approached the house herself, having met its work through Rossy de Palma's Eau de Protection and her agent's Tom of Finland. She wanted the scent to recall her home at Nairn in the Highlands, and insisted on ginger.
